- Capcom's Super Street Fighter IV producer Yohinori Ono mentioned that he is interested to work on a new Darkstalkers game, using similar visual style on SSFIV, but more exaggerated animation. He would have to gain permission from Capcom to produce the game.
- The Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami announced that he as established his own development studio in Tokyo called Tango, with currently has 13 staffs, including sound director Masashi Takada from Grasshopper, art director Ryosuke Aiba (Final Fantasy XI) and Naoki Katakai (Okami). Mikami is also working with Platinum Games on the shooter Vanquish.

- Capcom announced the Monster Hunter spinoff title Monster Hunter Nikki: Poka Poku Airu Mura will be released in Japan in August 2010, the game will have 3 main features: live the life of the Airu (cat), monster and quests, and link-up with Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G.
- Capcom also announced that Sanrio will collaborate in Monster Hunter Nikki: Poka Poku Airu Mura, Hello Kitty will be a non-playable guest character in the game, and there will be Hello Kitty costumes and accessories in the game.

- Namco Bandai confirmed that Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon X for PSP is remake of two titles. First is a remake of Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon for GBC from year 2000; the second is a port of Tales of Phantasia Full Voice Edition for PS2 from 2006, which features a revamped battle system, new story events and full voiced dialogue.

- Cyberconnect2 announced Solarobo for NDS, a new 3D RPG that was in development for 3 years. The game will have an epic human drama in a sci-fi setting with robots.
- Arc System Works announced Kunio-kun no Chounekketsu! Soccer League Plus World Hyper Cup will be coming to NDS in Japan on May 27, a remake of the classic Technos soccer game for Famicom from 1993. The remake will have four player support and 3D graphics.

- At GDC, Final Fantasy XIII producer Yoshinori Kitase mentioned that he is interested in producing Final Fantasy XIII-2, a direct sequel to refine what the team has already built. However, this depends on how well the game performs in the west. He also expressed that the team is very excited to see how gamers respond, they have modeled every object with extensive detail, so you would believe these things are real and existed somewhere.
- Final Fantasy XIII director Motomu Toriyama mentioned that the series will continue to change for each product, but ultimately it will remain a magnificent global story centered on human drama. That the central concept of the series and will apply to every Final Fantasy story. Toriyama also mentioned that he is interested to add interactive cutscenes in future FF games.
- Capcom's Street Fighter IV for iPhone has topped the iPhone most downloaded list in App Store last week, followed by Where's Waldo? The Fantastic Journey and Monopoly.
- Level 5 CEO Akihiro Hino mentioned that an extremely anticipated title will be revealed in April. Level 5 is the producer of White Knight Chronicle and Dragon Quest VIII/IX.

- Retailer reported that a new motherboard has been found in the latest shipment of Red PSP-3000. The new model uses a newer microprocessor TA-93 as opposed to TA-90, and it also includes a new spring attachment for the UMD slot and new trigger mountings.
